Climates

NGO Support Services

Climates offer two free services remotely to partners and community groups to support climate change capacity-building.

Editing and Proofreading

Climates can support with English language editing and proofreading grant applications, policy submissions, and other documents as they relate to climate change initiatives.

To ensure that organisations retain control of their narratives in any documents we review, our role will focus on proofreading, rather than making major edits or rewriting, which may change the flow of the document.

Research and Literature Reviews

With the objective to build the capacity of communities to access and utilise academic literature, Climates can conduct research to support documents relevant to climate initiatives, such as proposals, reports, or grant applications.

Our role will focus on providing evidence to support solutions identified by communities, as opposed to identifying the solutions themselves.

Comms and Social Media

Climates can support communication needs, from helping with drafting materials to promoting initiatives on our social media platforms. Whether you’re developing content for social media, newsletters, or campaigns, we can assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing to ensure messaging is impactful.

Crowdfunding

Climates can support crowdfunding needs, from supporting with drafting materials to promoting crowdfunding campaigns on our social media platforms. We can also help with setting up and drafting campaigns across different fundraising platforms such as Chuffed.

Who can access these services?

These services are available to all Pacific, Pasifika or First Nations community groups, not-for-profit, or civil society organisations, including diaspora organisations with a focus on the region, who are working on climate action.
