Climates Micro Grants Round 1 Now Open!

Climates Micro Grants Round 1 Now Open!

Climates’ Micro Grants Round 1 is now open (as of May 23)! Pacific-based climate change or environmental NGOs, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), and grassroots groups have until June 30, 2022 to apply.

Do you have a project, initiative, training or operational capacity that needs funding?

Grants will be available to registered charities and small community organisations, and will have the objective of creating opportunities to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of a changing climate. Climates will not accept applications from businesses or for for-profit projects.

Climate justice is a core principle of our work. We want to support initiatives that are inclusive with regard to gender, age, race, disability and class. Applications that support inclusivity will be favoured.

Grants of up to $1,000 (AUD) are available to individuals and small organisations (annual income of less than $200,000). In Round 1, Climates has twenty (20) $1,000 grants available. Only one grant will be available per successful applicant/organisation.

Climates’ priority is to decolonise how climate finance is provided to frontline groups and communities in the Pacific. Therefore, our Micro Grants Programme seeks to ensure a short and easy application process which does NOT require difficult reporting requirements like many other grants do.
