With you help and generosity our Climates Art Fundraiser Party was a huge success and a lot of fun! We were able raise over $4,000 and meet our goal for the Micro Grants funding. The Micro Grants program will deliver over $20,000 directly to front line communities impacted by climate change in the Pacific this year.
Thanks everyone for making it down to Coburg Saturday 15 April in support of Pacific climate resilience. More than 70 people joined us a Alex and Owen’s house. We played 5 rounds of Bingo with 5 amazing pieces of art won. It was fun, full of laughter and I think we motivated. the next generation of Bingo masters
There were 4 prizes (3 hampers and a voucher) up for grabs in the raffle which in total was made up of more than $1,000 in donated goods and services. Congratulations to all our winners of Bingo and the Raffle.
Thanks so much to all the amazing artists that contributed such beautiful pieces. We were thrilled to work together to support our Pacific mates.
An extra special thanks to Alex and Owen for providing the venue and organising the art and Bingo. And Farema for engaging so many great local and sustainable businesses who contributed to the raffle.
Shout out to our mates the Pacific Climate Warriors Melbourne chapter who showed up and won half the prizes
In addition to funding the Micro Grants, the funds raised on Saturday will also go towards the Vanuatu cyclone recovery following the two recent category 4 cyclones that hit our island neighbours.
